In your PerfectPatent™ Search Free Consultation, I will:

1. Work out what your invention really ‘is’ (from a patenting point of view)
2. Draft a basic initial independent claim 1 that, in theory, would get you ‘perfect’ patent protection if granted at the patent office
3. Go through this claim with you, explain it to you so you fully understand it, and check with you if you agree that it would get you perfect patent protection if granted at the patent office.

All things being well, that independent claim, (perhaps with minor refinement), will become the basis of the scope of your PerfectPatent™ Search, and may well be searched by a former Patent Office examiner as part of the PerfectPatent™ Search, all in 100% confidentiality.

As part of the service, I will also:

- Draft what we call ‘dependent claims’, which are claims that define the next most important inventive feature(s) of your product concept.

These play an important part in the PerfectPatent™ Search service because, if your main broad claim 1 is found to NOT be new/patentable, we will also search your dependent claims and give you feedback on the patentability of your invention’s next most important features.

Not only could this still reveal incredibly important patent protection for your invention, it can also significantly streamline the patent drafting and prosecution process, leading to you getting patent(s) granted quicker and at less cost.

I will sign an NDA (confidentiality agreement) before you disclose your invention. In order for me to do that, I just need a couple of details, eg to make sure the field of your invention, (eg shoe cleaning device, vacuum cleaner attachment), dodes not conflict with any of my other projects. This is unlikely but is worth checking.
